GEJ responds to OBJ! GEJ responds to OBJ! Earlier this month, the former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo sent an 18-page letter to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan , accusing him of destroying Nigeria. ( ICYMI click here ) GEJ through his special adviser Reuben Abati sent out his open response. It is a long read but worth it. December 20th 2013 His Excellency, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR Agbe L’Oba House, Quarry Road, Ibara, Abeokuta. RE: BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE I wish to formally acknowledge your letter dated December 2, 2013 and other previous correspondence similar to it. You will recall that all the letters were brought to me by hand. Although both of us discussed some of the issues in those letters, I had not, before now, seen the need for any formal reply since, to me, they contained advice from a former President to a serving President. Obviously, you felt differently because in your last letter, you complained about my not acknowledging or replying y...
WHY SHOULD A MAN BLEACH?    Pela before he started bleaching Delta state born beautician and skincare expert,  Pela Tonye   Okiemute  (pictured above in his before and after bleaching phase) who specializes in skin whitening and sales of bleaching product says there is no negative effect to it. He recently granted an interview to Encomium mag. Excepts below... Why do you deal in bleaching despite the fact that it has a negative impact on the skin? The negative impact from bleaching is when you use bad product. Gone are those days when people use bad products like Hydroquine and other forms of chemicals that cause damage to the skin. We use advanced products and herbs which makes our skin look healthy. We have discovered some other products like Gluthatione. They are pills that are medically good and needed for the body, which has its side effect as lightening the skin.  So it is not a bad side effect because many people want to lighten up so t...
My heart bleeds as i read this excerpt from what Mandela said about us: "You know I am not very happy with Nigeria. I have made that very clear on many occasions. Yes, Nigeria stood by us more than any nation, but you let yourselves down, and Africa and the black race very badly. Y our leaders have no respect for their people. They believe that their personal interests are the interests of the people. They take people’s resources and turn it into personal wealth.   "There is a level of poverty in Nigeria that should be unacceptable. I cannot understand why Nigerians are not angry than they are... “What do young Nigerians think about your leaders and their country and Africa? Do you teach them history? Do you have lessons on how your past leaders stood by us and gave us large amounts of money? You know I hear from Angolans and Mozambicans and Zimbabweans how your people opened their hearts and their homes to them. I was in prison then, but we know how your ...
We Now Have Enough Grounds To Impeach Jonathan ––Reps The All Progressives Congress, APC, caucus in the House of Representatives on Monday said that they now has “enough grounds” to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan. “As for impeachment, there are enough grounds for impeachment of the President. The constitution says you need only one ground, but we have more than one ground already. So, the party does not have to give us a directive to impeach the President. Nobody wants to impeach the President, but we will continue to study the situation to see whether he will sit up.” What would happen if President Goodluck Jonathan doesn't sit up? Minority Leader of the House, who is also the APC leader in the House, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, stressed that: “Particularly interesting is the case of Rivers State. We want to see how they will use five legislators to impeach a governor in that state... The opposition will respond in the...
Mandela Memorial Signer Allegedly Burned Two Men to Death The fake sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service last week was among a group of people accused of assaulting two men found with a stolen television and burning them to death, according to his friends. The interpreter, who sparked outrage when it was revealed that he was using fake sign language during the event, joined others in allegedly setting fire to tires and placing them around the two men’s necks, one of the interpreter’s cousins and three of his friends  told the Associated Press. Thamsanqa Jantijie was never tried for the 2003 killings because authorities determined he was not mentally fit to stand trial, the sources, quoted anonymously, told the AP. Their account of the murders matched a description of the crime Jantijie himself gave during an interview with the Sunday Times newspaper of Johannesburg. Jantijie was institutionalized for over than a year in lieu of standing trial. Jantij...
Another Letter: Bayelsa Elders Say They're Not Feeling Impact of Jonathan's Government President Olusegun Obasanjo is the first Nigerian president to prosecute his Secondary School friend, the man he appointed Inspector General of Police, a sitting Senate President, his serving Ministers, etc. But when some " idiots " want to talk on TV and Radio programmes, they will say Obasanjo do not have the moral right to write such a letter to President Goodluck Jonathan. How ridiculous! Now President Jonathan's people have written to him complaining about the same lack of development: "Whilst it takes the federal government the better part of the century to connect us by road, there exists a vast and expanding network of oil and gas pipelines across our territory connecting prolific oil wells to flow stations to export terminals and so on. In some 40 to 50 years of oil and gas production, the Nigerian government has in league with the oil companies virtually d...
A letter to Jonathan From Obasanjo leaked! Accuses him of Lies and Secret Atrocities An apparently angry and frustrated ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has written what clearly competes as one of the most acerbic letters in modern history to President Goodluck Jonathan, accusing him of ineptitude and of taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria and Nigerians. “Up till two months ago, Mr. President, you told me that you have not told anybody that you would contest in 2015. I quickly pointed out to you that the signs and the measures on the ground do not tally with your statement. You said the same to one other person who shared his observation with me.  And only a fool would believe that statement you (Jonathan) made to me judging by what is going on . I must say it is not ingenious. You may wish to pursue a more credible and more honorable path.” See many more shocking revelations from Obasanjo below... “Nigeria is bleeding and the hemorrhage must be stopped,” Obasan...

Controversial Social Media Critics Bill Removed     Following public pressure, Ogun East Senator, Adegbenga Kaka, announced at a press conference Tuesday, he’d removed the controversial provision in the Electronic Fraud and Transactions bill that could have given social media critics a seven year prison sentence for speaking out against the government. The bill’s purpose is to seek stiffer punishment for internet fraudsters and scammers in Nigeria. But the sweeping scope of the provision would have affected the work of journalists and social media critics. Kaka said the provision conflicted with the Federal Republic of Nigeria constitution, and undermined the rights of the freedom of expression of citizens. He said there is no monopoly on knowledge anywhere in the world. Shortly after it was revealed that the bill prescribes jail term for social media users in Nigeria, “internet warriors” went to work by bombarding the senator with complaints, on SaharaReporters fa...
Abuse Jonathan on social Media and risk going to jail Members of the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly are proposing a bill seeking to convict social media critics in Nigeria. The bill has reportedly passed a second reading on the floor of the Senate, and if finally passed into law, will ensure that any social media critic found guilty will go behind bars for seven years. The joint Senate Committees on Judiciary, Human Rights and legal matters, Drugs, Narcotics and Financial Crimes led by Senator Umaru Dahiru (PDP, Sokoto), yesterday organised a one-day public hearing on the bill for an act to provide for the prohibition and punishment for electronic fraud and crime in all electronic transactions in Nigeria. The Bill is to minimise some provocative criticisms against the government of Nigeria and its leaders, especially President Goodluck Jonathan, who has been constantly attacked by Nigerians on social media platforms. Section 13, subsection 3 of the bill propo...
Forbes Names Nigerian Agriculture Minister, Adesina Adewunmi Man Of The Year 2013 At least a minister in Nigeria have decided to do the right thing in his portfolio.   Nigerian Agriculture Minister Akinwumi Adesina has been named Forbes African of the Year for his reforms to the country’s farming sector. “He is a man on a mission to help Africa feed itself,” said Forbes Africa editor Chris Bishop. Analysts say Nigeria’s economy has long been dominated by oil, while agriculture has been ignored, even though it supports far more people. Mr Adesina said he wanted to help people become rich through farming. “My goal is to make as many millionaires, maybe even billionaires, from agriculture as possible,” he said in his acceptance speech. Aliyu Tanko from BBC Hausa says Mr Adesina has introduced more transparency into the supply and distribution of fertiliser, which had previously been marred by massive corruption. The minister ha...
Universities ordered to re-open The federal government has ordered all federal universities in Nigeria to re-open. According to a report by ThisDay, lecturers have been told to resume academic acitivities or risk losing their jobs. Lecturers have until 4 December to return to work. The Goodluck Jonathan administration has given the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, one week ultimatum to call off the ongoing strike or risk mass sack. The directive was given on Thursday on behalf of the government, in Abuja, by the acting Minister of Education, Nyesom Wike. But in a swift reaction, ASUU rubbished the threat by the Jonathan Government to sack any lecturer who fails to report back to school on December 4, 2013. While condemning the threat, ASUU said: “It is a pity if the federal government is not willing to perfect the resolutions reached with union. This is why we find it difficult to trust our leaders by their words. How can someone be threatening to sa...
Festus Iyayi Was Shot By Policemen In Kogi’s Governor Convoy – Anonymous Tipster Claims | Sahara Reporters anonymous tipster has confided in SaharaReporters that Festus Iyayi, a former president of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), was actually shot by policemen in the convoy of the Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Wada, prior to the road accident in which he supposedly died last week. The source claimed that the injuries found on the late writer’s chest were consistent with gunshot injuries and that a bullet did pierce his heart. One Dr. Paul Amodu of the Specialist Hospital in Lokoja had revealed that Professor Iyayi died after “something” pierced his chest, but he didn’t specify what it was. SaharaReporters was first to reveal last week said the popular professor and writer died in a collision with a security vehicle in Governor Wada’s convoy. Sources at ASUU said they had dissuaded Iyayi’s family from a “rushed” burial, as they suspected foul play...
